Hi
My Charles Price born circa 1820`s Donegal. His fathers name was William Price. mothers name unknown. Charles and his wife Grace Ward - moved over to Glasgow, Scotland where Charles worked as a coalminer in the Monklands area as did his sons and grandson.

On his Charles death entry William is stated to be a ?stoker - it could also be stafter? - not certain, because it is hard to make out. Grace died shortly after him and her parents were John Ward - farmer and Grace Flannigan

I would be thrilled if anyone found any of this familiar or if you could give me clues as to finding out more about this families Irish roots.

Hello, Just read this-- I know it's very old but you may still be out there. I am descended from WARDs from Co. Donegal also. My line is: Patrick Ward b. about 1821, Co. Donegal > William Ward 1853 Glasgow > Ann Jane Ward 1898 Glasgow. Among the unique names in the family are Murdoch Ward & Unity Ward. I've also had my & my Scot-Irish-descended Mom DNA tested on Ancestry; had results transferred to FamilyTreeDNA also.

Please contact me via email: SaturnCat at yahoo.com. Thanks.

Direct-line ancestors in the UK I am searching: BRUCE, DEVLIN, DUNCAN, FARRELL, HERON, LEDEN/LEADEN, McCONNEL McQUEEN, MILLAR, MULHEARN, PARKS, PAYNE/PAINE, THOMSON, WARD
