He appeared on the census Sept 1850, August 1860, 5 June 1880 and 1900 in Troy Township, Delaware Co. OH. He was a farmer. He died on 18 March 1906 and was buried in Radnor Cemetery in Delware Coutny He was married to Sarah Elizabeth Peck (daughter of Benjamin Peck and Mary M. Abbey on 25 Mar 1856 in Delaware Twp.Sarah Elizabeth Peck was born on 17 May 1837 in OH. She appeared on the census in Aug 1860, 5 June 1880 and 1900 in Troy Township She was living with her daughter Emma's family on 25 June 1900 in Iowa Twp, Cedar Co, IA. She died on 8 April 1913 in Delaware Co., OH She was buried on 11 April 1913 in Radnor Cemetery, Delaware Co., OH. Stephen Merritt Prouty and Sarah Elizabeth Peck had the following children:
