Hi Louise, I'm enjoying your Prouty book and would recommend it to all interested in the Prouty's.

There are at least TWO family trees on Ancestry.com that are claiming Jesse Bailey Prouty born in 1841, deceased 01/01/1921 in Chicago as a son of our Steven Prouty born in 1794 in Orange NY and deceased in Wells County IN. Now you and I KNOW that this Steven Prouty had a son Jesse Edward Prouty born about 1840, who deceased after 1920 in Wells County IN. How does a person go about correcting the misinformation out there?
