John and Jane became Quakers. If Alice had married out, it would have been in the notes of Friends and she would have disunited. There is no mention of her in Hinshaw's Encyclopedia of Quaker Genealogy Vol 6 which covers Virginia. The Pleasants, Cockes, Jordans, Carys, and Ellysons are included as are many other Quaker families.
