Faye, Thanks for this information but William is born too late to be mine as he married in 1821. I just thought the Moorhouse connection might be there.
Searching the records there are 3 possibilities the one I have (b1797) with father Richard and mother Grace Burton, a William Proctor (b1800) Guisley, father John and another one (b 1789)Brotherton, father John Mother Anne.
