Born in Marion on September 18, 1928 to the late George and Iva (Denman) Probst, Ann was a 1946 graduate of Marion Harding High School.

A life highlight was owning and managing the Homestead Motel in Columbus, Ohio, 1959-65, where they also continued to raise their three children.
Ann took the greatest satisfaction in the lives and achievements of her three children, and she took equally great satisfaction as her children's families grew and prospered.
