ZANESVILLE: ZANESVILLE: Rex Pritt, 57 of Zanesville, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Genesis Hospital from injuries sustained following a tragic accident.

He was born Monday, June 23, 1958 in Marietta, Ohio (Washington County) the son of Velva A. (Short) Pritt and the late Troy R. Pritt.
Rex worked as a roofer with Saup Hartley Heating & Cooling.
He had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger.
He enjoyed 4-wheeling and mudding; he had a big heart and would help anyone in need.
Rex was a loving and caring son, brother and uncle who will be missed by all who knew him.

Rex is survived by his mother: Velva Pritt of Zanesville; five brothers and sisters: Ervan Pritt of Beverly, Dixie Starkey of Zanesville, Merlin (Betty) Pritt of Mineral City, Sherry (Jeff) Wheeler of Zanesville and Troy M. Pritt of Zanesville and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
In addition to his father Troy R. Pritt, Rex was preceded in death by one brother-in-law: Richard Starkey.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, August 7, 2015, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services to celebrate Rex's life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 8, at the funeral home with Rev. James Miller officiating.
Rex will be laid to rest next to his father in Watson Cemetery in McConnellsville, Ohio. (Morgan County)
