I am looking for information on my grandfather, Robert Martin Prince. He was born in June of 1879. He died in November 1915. He worked at the Creighton Franklin Pyrite mine in the Cross Roads district close to Ball Ground. He was killed by a beam that fell. He was married to Lula Smallwood Prince in 1897. They had 6 children. My grandmother had to leave the house they lived in, so she moved to Porterdale to raise her family. My mother was the youngest and was only a year old when he died. My grandmother never talked of him. So.....we don't know anything about him at all. I am at a dead end on searching. My grandmother did say he visited relatives in kentucky every year. There seems to be lots of people searching for relatives with the last name of Prince. Hopefully someone will have heard the story of him dying in the mine. He was a Mason also at the Redwine Lodge. He is buried at the Hightower Baptist Church cemetary in an unmarked grave. Help!!
