I am researching John PRHNE from Cerovi Log Sentjern Slovenia. He came to the USA in Oct. 1898 and headed to work in an Iron foundry in Indianapolis, Indiana where he married Marie Novak (from Novo Mesto, Slovenia) in 1904. At some point the last name PRHNE was changed to MILLER. John and Marie had 9 children, only 4 of them lived past the age of 7. I am looking for any info on this family in the USA or in Slovenia. I belive there were PRHNE cousins in Ohio and/or Illinois.
Thank you

If you can email me a little more info about your Mary Prhne I may be able to help you. I have info on Prhnes' in the Euclid Ohio area. That line would include a Josphine, Frank, John and Stan to name a few. I know of 4 or 5 Mary Prhne's just off the top of my head so any more info would be of help.

Thanks for the reply!

Hello! My name is Mojca and I come from Slovenia. My birth name was PRHNE. My grandfather was Joze Prhne from Cerovi Log. He was born in 1929 and had sister Terezija (still lives in Cerovi Log) and brother France (died in second war). My grandfather Joze Prhne passed away 8 years ago. Few days ago I started to create my familly tree. So, I would wrealy like to know if we are and how we are related.

Thanks!
Mojca Pintaric (Prhne)

My great grandfather John PRHNE left Slovenia in the late 1890's. I think his father's name may have been John as well....I have not been able to find out for sure. John PRHNE died in Indianapolis Indiana in 1944.He married Marie Novak in Indianapolis Indiana about 1902. She was from Novo Mesto and as far as I can tell they met in Indianapolis. There was an Anthon PRHNE who came to Indianapolis in about 1912, we believe him to be a realitive of John PRHNE...again we are not sure of that. There also were some PRHNE's who went to the Cleveland Ohio area who are thought to be realated as well, we just have never been able to find the link because it is in Slovenia. Perhaps we can work together and figure it all out? You a can email me at awhsi@netzero.net or reply to this post. Thank you and I look forward to learning more!

Hello
I am writing to let you know that I just found your post. My name is Melinda Prhne, I am from the Cleveland Ohio area. My grandfather was a John Prhne. I dont know much about him, he died in the late 1970's, just about the time I was born. I can tell you that he married a woman named Mildred, I believe her last name was Fink. They had one son, my father Rudy. If you are still looking for more information, I will see what I can find.

Melinda - Which Prhne clan in Cleveland are you from? There was one in the St Vitus (St Clair Ave) area and one in the St Lawrence (Newburg and Maple Heights) area. The John Prhne's from St Lawrence area did not marry a Mildred. I do know of a Mildred Franetic who married a Rudolph Prhne and who died in 1979 and 1980; respectively. But Rudolph's parents were John Prhne and Frances Zontas. They are my mother's uncle's parents as well and we have photos of them. Let me know.
