I too am a descendant of Sherwood O. Preston and Vincey Stowe Preston...sort of. Apparently they adopted my ggrandmother Roberta Vincey Preston who was married to Donald Alvin Dibble. They had my grandmother Barbara,and 4 other children.
My grandmother also told me about Sherwood being the founder of "United Charities".
