Harriet Pradier was the sister of my great grandfather, Ernest William (born 1855). My grandmother, Isabelle togther with her brothers, Ernest and Felix and parents moved to the UK in 1898. If your information is correct that makes us relatives. My grandmother was born in Paris although much earlier the Pradiers had lived in Aix-en-Provence.

Hello.I would be happy to exchange information re Pradier family as I still have a question or two about them.I have Harriets' photo album and would love to know who many of the people are.Sadly she did not write any names on or under the photos.I was born and grew up in the UK but emigrated to Australia in my early 20's.I was always proud of my French ancestry and spent a year living and working in France 1965-67 and I still can converse pretty fluently in French.
Out of interest ,are you a resident of the UK ?
I haven't been active on family tree for some time and I should spend some time soon tying up a few loose ends.
I shall look forward to hearing from you.
Regards Robert.

The history matches my family members. Lambert Pradier was a professor at university in Draguinon born 1790 in Lorgues. He had 2 sons, Felician and Marius and my family descends from Marius, born 1820. My mother's cousin, Helen Pradier (daughter of Felix Lambert, grandson of Marius) emigrated to Canada from England in her early 20s where her children now live. Other family members left France for the USA in the latter half of the 19th century.

Harriet had 3 brothers, Marius, Charles and Ernest (my great grandfather, born 1855)and her parents were Harriet (same name) and Marius, so some of the photos were probably of them. Harriet's grandson was Ernest Marius, one of my grandmother's brothers. My grandmother was very fond of her brothers. I would love to spend some time in France looking for other family members. I am a resident of the UK living in Hampshire but have spent many years in other countries including France(before knowing the family history) and speak French. I have also not been active on the Tree for a while, but am keen to learn more.
Hve just returned from Australia, incidentally!
Regards Maura
