Seeking information on Amelia Pracht. Per 1880 census she was born in Illinois abt 1849. She married John Lock 3 May 1870 in Adams County, IL. Children Anna born abt 1873; Reva born abt 1874; Frederich born abt 1880 and John H. born abt 1867 SO John must be the son of John Sr. from a previous marriage? Also found a Benjamin Gottfried Pracht and a Friederich Pracht in the 1866 Quincy City Directory listed as coopers and living at 11th WS 2 S Broadway. Any info is appreciated. Thank you....Lora

My grandfather was Lawrence Benjamin Pracht from Adams County, Illinois. My maiden name was Ann Pracht. I am interested in the Pracht family tree. My grandfather was born in 1897. His mother's maiden name was Vollbracht. I would be interested in corresponding with you.

Ann;
My cousin has started working on a Pracht family tree. I’m kinda sorta helping her out.
I found your posting about Lawrence B. Pracht. I am assuming that there was only one ‘Lawrence B. Pracht’ in Adams county about the time frame you mention in your posting. So, I guess that we are 3rd cousins. Lawrence was my great uncle. His brother, Charles F. is my grandfather. To validate my assumption, I have some questions for you.
1) Was Lawrence married to Elsie Husemann?
2) Is you father’s name Roger L?
3) Do you have a brother named Roger Thomas, and a sister named Cheryl Maxine?

If so, email me and I will get you connected with my cousin and the two of you can go from there.
