greetings!Ms.Poydras.
hello my name is barry poydras, and im sending you this response in regards to your interest in the poydras family, and its history.just to give you a brief biography ill begin by saying, the poydras family originated in louisiana as you probably already know, but did you know that there are actually two poydras families not related to each other, and it goes back to our plantation days unless you happen to be anglo-american.today there are quite a few poydras families living in so.california, most of my family, and i are right here in so.california now.
if you have need of more correspondence pls contact me at badocatt@aol.com take care.bye!

My cousin, Nona Mae Moniare of New Orleans Louisiana, married a Poydras. Nona Mae passed in 1999 and I believe the husband preceded her in death. They lived in Baton Rouge Louisiana. I'll ask my sister, the name of Nona Mae's husband (believe he was a principal in one of the BR school).
