I have Samuel Poxon b 1830 Pelsall, son of Thomas Poxon b abt 1790 Pelsall, Staffordshire... from 1851 census. Thomas was widowed in 1851.

Thomas had three children that I'm aware of: Thomas b 1828 Bloxwich (he married Ann Hayward in 1852) and Mary Poxon b abt 1834 Pelsall.

Catherine Kelly was born in Ireland.

Regards
Mark

Hi, my grandfather was Samuel D. Poxon born in 1865. He had sisters Mary Poxon and Annie Rhinehart. They were all born in England. His Father, Thomas was a coal miner and extremely tall for the times. He and his wife Catherine Kelley settled in the area of Pittsburgh, Penn. about 1868. My grandfather went to work for the B&O railroad. (moving to Painesville, ohio) I had a family picture of them all. Catherine Kelley was quite short and dark in comparison to her husband who seems quite fair. You have his name as Samuel but I think my dad said it was Thomas. I may be wrong. I do know that Catherine his wife was from Roscommon County in Ireland. Her father was Patrick and her mother was Bedula Egan. You must be one of my cousins children.
