Hi

Who did Anne b 1872 marry? I have Anne as the daughter of William Poxon b abt 1841 Thringstone (in the Ashby de la Zouch workhouse?) and Selina Harris.

I guess the Mary b 1810 is William's mother - I have Mary as born 1812/1813 in Heather but I've had no joy either identifying the husband.

Regards
Mark

I have no husband for Anne yet.
I don't know William's mothers surname, but too have Mary. Her husband was John Poxon and they had 3 other children:
John b1838 Thringstone married Annie Cumberland (b1844 Whitwick) in Ashby de la Zouch Quarter 3 1863 and had 9 children
Hannah b1852 Thringstone - no further info known yet
Sarah b1833 (place unknown)- no further info known yet

I agree with the siblings of William, how did you establish that the father was John Poxon?

William married Selina HARRIS in 1862 in Ashby de la Zouch (registration). Selina was born in 1845/1846 in Whitwick, Leicestershire. She died Q2 1934 in Barnsley (registration).

5 F iv. Hannah POXON was born in Jan 1851 in Thringstone, Leicestershire.

William was born q3 1840.
I can't find from my records how I got to John being married to Mary (which is now prety annoying) I will have a look through my papers again. I assume it must have been through a birth certificate or similar.
I wouldn't have it on my records if I hadn't checked it first.

In my records I have Mary's husband as John Poxon but I have no source for this and no marriage record. Mary was in the Ashby de la Zouch workhouse at the time of the 1841 census with her sons John Poxon, William b abt 1841 Thringstone and daughter Sarah b abt 1832 Thringstone

I also have Mary's mother-in-law as Ann b abt 1780, and a brother-in-law Thomas Poxon b 1818.

Joseph Asher appears as Boarder in 1871 aged 3 years in Market Bosworth, Ibstock, Leicestershire at the house of Rempston and Elisth Smith.
Joseph Asher married Eva Gill in Wakefield 1897 and they appear in Outwood, York in 1901.
