I do not know the birth year of Daniel. But if Elizabth Sory is Elizabeth Powell, she was born about 1785-1790 according to 1850 Smih County Tn Census. This is where they went when they sold their 1/6th of 149 acres in 1806. All I know about this Powell family is a James Powell bought land in 1800, then he disappears not leaving a will or any court records or anything! When I trace the land he found, I find these 5 people selling it 1/6th at a time! Mitchell and Elizabeth Sory named their first born James Lucas Sory. And their first born daughter Mary Sory. I am not very informed when it comes to DNA. We have done DNA but we are the only 2 Sory families to do it in any database. Can our (my dads) DNA be used to compare the dan results from a Powell?
