Hello Christina, I think that I can Help you with that.
I am a Fabiano, and I supose that Luigi Fabiano is my great grand father. Luigi Fabiano was born in 1879 in Gimigliano, Catanzaro, South Italy, he was married in italy, but his wife died, and then he remaried and immigrated to U.S. in 1909 on the ship Duca degli Abruzzi. It says he came alone, but for what I know, all family were together, and with his new wife ther had a child, born in U.S, named Rosario. if I remember correctly, they all lived in chicago. Luigi came to Brazil qith his wife and 8 children, and he died in 1955.

Hi. From what I know, there have been a couple of Josephine Fabianos in Niagara Falls, NY. My great grandmother was a Maria Teresa Fabiano who immigrated from Gimigliano Italy in 1912 to Niagara Falls. She also had at least 2 brothers Francesco (Frank) and Angelo Fabiano who also migrated to Niagara Falls, NY. There are quite a few Fabianos there and also in Niagara Falls, Canada. One of Francesco Fabiano's daughters was named Josephine. I think that one of his sons also married a Josephine (making her a Josephine Fabiano). I found out that a lot of immigrants from Gimigliano, Italy had settled in Niagara Falls, NY because of their talent and skill in stone work to help build tunnels. I also noticed that there are Fabianos in Chicago. It would be great to be able to connect all of these Fabianos somehow. I would not be surprised if they all have common ancestors back in Italy.
