I am researching the descendents of James Pottinger. He was a Purser (Pusser) in the Royal Navy and died around 1836.

He had four children;

1. Robert - b.1818 Lerwick. Inspector General of Hospitals RN. -had issue

2. Anne Jean - b.1820 Lerwick - had issue

3. Mary - b.1822 Lerwick - never married

4. John Morison - b. 1823 Lerwick - had issue
