POTA, VICKI Going Home...Vicki Pota, Our precious angel, passed away on April 5, 2004 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Vicki was raised in San Diego and was a wonderful wife to Tony and the best mother of four: Tricia-20, Jessica-17, Tony-14, and Joseph-8. Her parents are Gaylord and Pat Bradford of El Cajon, Ca. Her brothers are Gaylord and David. Vicki spent her days loving her family, attending her children ' s games, dance competitions, dive meets. She enjoys Cursillo, traveling, Mexico, watching movies with her family, shopping with her daughters and sitting around the fire sipping "pretty tea". Her shining example of Christ ' s love inspired all who knew her. As published in the Southern Cross in an article written by Patrick O ' Brien..."For many Catholics, this Lenten Season seems particularly significant. There is a conversation in the air that is different this year. Perhaps it is Mel Gibson ' s movie or Vicki Pota ' s Magnificant testimony, but for many Catholics this Lent is moving them a little closer to the constant breath of God." The family extends its warmest appreciation to all for their loving thoughts, prayers and support. Vigil services at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 beginning with Visitation at 6 p.m. and Rosary service at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 405 Ballard Street, El Cajon on April 8, 2004 at 9:30 a.m., with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the City of Hope. Please sign the guest book at obituaries.uniontrib.com
