Tracing German Heritage from Bavaria Germany looking for descentants of Anton Posch who was from Rosenheim Germany and remained there until his death in 1950. He had three brothers wonder did they migrate to America.

My Posch family - Georg (spelling?) Posch settled in St. Louis Late 19th century. Daughter was Flora...May have been 2 daughters - No sons identified. He was a fresco artist descendant from Tyrolean artists and woodcarvers. Owned a fresco art studio in St. Louis at the turn of the century. Daughter (Flora) was artist of local repute. What little I have has Flora born in Berlin, Germany. She was my grandmother, but divorced from my grandfather early (1st decade of the 20th century). Separation and death have made local information as difficult as any other.

I have a Georg Posch in my family background but he died in 1882, but it was very common to have sons named after you. Posch is a very common name in Bavaria, Rosenheim was the family home. Not many of the family migrated to the U.S. just two sisters. I'm in contact with family members and will research this Georg for you.
