you talk about both Thome's and Posavad's. It was the Posavad that we can't find a place of immigration. Possibly Canada as he had a brother there. We know where the Thome's came from. So far I haven't connected the Chicago family with ours. We also have a son who lives just north of Chicago in Crystal Lake. Where do you live? We live in Fremont, ohio. There are a lot of Thome's in Ohio. A lot of our family also lives in Wisconsin.--Pat

I know about the Posavad family, but need some more infomation. I know that there was 3 brother; Jim, John and Joe and one brother was left in Yuogslavia. Jim had five children(that I know of) Anne(now Basset, but she recently died), Mary( now Sharp who lives in Toronto) Slivia(who I don't know) Edward(don't know) and Danny( don't know) Joe had two sons that I know of Aldolf and Joe Jr and a daughter named Ann. John(my great-grandfather) had three sons, Stan(my grandfather) Ruldolf and Jim who both live in Carllie Hamilton Canada. If anyone wants more information of these people let me know. You can e-mail me at bposavad@hotmail.com. If anyone has more infomation about Posavad's can you please let me know because I want to do a family tree. Thank you

The seven names listed as Posavad in the 1930 census from Allegheny County, PA are actually Posavac. The parents came from Croatia in the early 1900's.
