Frederick & Wilhelmina Porath
I am looking for information on my GG grandparents, Frederick & Wilhelmina Porath. I know of 3 daughters, Augusta, Minnie (Ladwig?), and Albertina (Vogelsang?). Augusta was my G grandmother. She married Andreas Heller in 1879 in Princeton, WI.

Re: Frederick & Wilhelmina Porath
Frederick and Wilhelmina Porath were my GGGGrandparents. I have some information about them from a booklet that my cousin put together several years ago. Erdmann Fredrick Porath and Willhelmina Goose where both born in Fraian Walder, Germany. Dont know Erdmann's birthdate but Wilhelmina was born Feb. 1, 1822. Immigrated about 1868 with three daughters, Charlotta Fredrecka (Mrs. William Ladwig, went by Wilhelmina, they were my GGGrandparents), Albertina (Mrs Wilhem Vogelsang), and Augusta (Mrs. Andreas Heller). Probably settled first around Green Lake, WI but moved to Grant County, SD around 1880. The booklet has a little more info but mostly is about William and Wilhelmina Porath. Let me know if I can help you further.

Re: Frederick & Wilhelmina Porath
Hi I'm definitely interested in any information on this family. Wil and Fred have been a bit difficult to track down. I'm hoping that information on the children will help lead to the parents.

Re: Frederick & Wilhelmina Porath
Found from the birth/christening records that Fred and Wil were from Silbersdorf, Pommerania. Also found that there were other Poraths from Noeblin, Pommerania. Still looking for records for F&W.

Re: Frederick & Wilhelmina Porath
I found a birth record for an Erdmann Friedrich Ferdinand Porath, born on/about April 15, 1822. Parents were Johann Friedrich Porath and Marie Elisabeth Bartel.
Not sure if this is the same Erdmann, but how many Erdmann Poraths can there be? Very strong possibility.
