Indian Ancestry for Delphine St.Louis

Greetings cousins!
If anyone is interested, I have traced the Indian ancestry of my GGreat Aunt Delphine St. Louis (or Delphine Filiatrualt dite St. Louis), the wife of Moses Poquette (or Moise Paquette). I have also traced the complete ancestry of Moses, as well, as he was my GGreat Uncle.
Delphine was the sister of my GGreatfather Pierre Paquette's wife--and my GGreat Grandmother--Marie Olivine Filiatrault dite St. Louis. Pierre and Moses were, of course, brothers.
You may or may not know this, but a third Filiatrault sister, Caroline, married Xavier Paquette, one of the other brothers of Pierre and Moses(sons of Jean Baptiste Paquette and Elizabeth Thibault).
In any case, Delphine, Olivine, and Caroline were all Native/Metis, as they were direct descendants of the voyageur/interpreter Jean Baptiste Reaume and his Indian wife Simphorose Ouaouaboukoue, and thus also, they were descended from the French/Indian mixed-heritage families of Larcheveque, Marcot, and Paquette. And yup, the three St. Louis girls' mother Marie Francoise, was a also Paquette.
I have a great deal of information on these early fur trade families, if anyone is interested. I will share all that I have. Email me at jrpaquette@att.net
Thanks...Jim Paquette Negaunee Mich

Hi Jim!
Great to hear from you!
And yup, I am now retired and I've continued to research the Reaume/Ouaouaboukoue family line of Delphine and Olivine, and there is ALWAYS something new and exciting. It was an amazingly tough and historically significant bunch of French/Indian fur trading ancestors that we descend from! My wife listens to my stories about them, and then she says to me, "No wonder you always act like you do!" Ah yes indeed, my dear, we are who we were!
Email me at jrpaquette@att.net and let's talk, Cuz!
Jim

I have Maurice Oliver Forget, dit DePatie/DePotsie (1866-1959), married Marie-Rose-Anna Forget (1870-1959). They lived at Nadeau, Menominee, Michigan. Married 1891, at Nadeau.
Edmund DePatie/DePotsie married Roseanne Poquette, sister to my grandmother, Mary Poquette. Both are daughters of Mose Poquette and Delphine St-Louis. Is this the same Mary Poquette that is your grandmother?

cheers,
jim
