Greetings cousins!
If anyone is interested, I have traced the Indian ancestry of my GGreat Aunt Delphine St. Louis (or Delphine Filiatrualt dite St. Louis), the wife of Moses Poquette (or Moise Paquette). I have also traced the complete ancestry of Moses, as well, as he was my GGreat Uncle.
Delphine was the sister of my GGreatfather Pierre Paquette's wife--and my GGreat Grandmother--Marie Olivine Filiatrault dite St. Louis. Pierre and Moses were, of course, brothers.
You may or may not know this, but a third Filiatrault sister, Caroline, married Xavier Paquette, one of the other brothers of Pierre and Moses(sons of Jean Baptiste Paquette and Elizabeth Thibault).
In any case, Delphine, Olivine, and Caroline were all Native/Metis, as they were direct descendants of the voyageur/interpreter Jean Baptiste Reaume and his Indian wife Simphorose Ouaouaboukoue, and thus also, they were descended from the French/Indian mixed-heritage families of Larcheveque, Marcot, and Paquette. And yup, the three St. Louis girls' mother Marie Francoise, was a also Paquette.
I have a great deal of information on these early fur trade families, if anyone is interested. I will share all that I have. Email me at
