I just went back to work on my Popejoy line and saw your post. Rachel Bolling was b. @ 1775 in VA and m. Edward B. Popejoy om March 13, 1810 in Pittsylvania Co., VA
She died @ 1840 in Bedford CO., TN. He died in Jackson Co., IL aft 1860. I descend from Martha Davis Popejoy. There is a possibility that Rachel Bolling is a descendent of Pocahantas. I am pursuing that. My great grandfather Lewis told my mother that we had the blood of the Scots, the Irish, the Welsh, and the Indians in us. I have found proof of the first three and hints that the last would come from Rachel. I hope this info helps you.
your cousin, Judy

Please contact me concerning Edward B. Popejoy and the Lewis family. I am researching Edward as his daughter Martha Davis (Popejoy) Lewis is my line.
