So far have traced my great great grandfather who was born in 1853 in Suffolk, a lot of the family still live there. My grandfather was one of 10 children, he and at least 2 brothers moved to London. I don't know if this is of any help to you.

Hi ,I was interested to hear that your Pooleys came from London. I am having trouble with my grt.grandmother Louisa Pooley born about 1839 in London. I have found her living in Chelsea,Camden and Lambeth but have not found her marriage yet. Married? William Joseph Peters had seven children , Frederick Thomas, Louise Marghurita, Rose Annie, Alice, Rachel, Rupert and Percy. If any of this sounds familiar please get in touch. carole.fiori@virgin.net in UK

I have traced my Pooleys to Eyke also! Does this mean anything to you?
Samuel Pooley & Sarah Pannifer (married 1817) had Samuel, James, Louisa, Jeremiah, William, Charlotte, Emma, Elizabeth, Lucy, Eliza, Elizabeth. These children were born between 1817 and approx. 1842. Lucy Pooley was my great great grandmother. I have dates and information on the descendants of the above. Please contact me if you think there is a connection. I look forward to hearing from you.

This is definately a match. George Pooley (born 1852) is my great great grandfather. I believe his mother is Louisa, making her Lucy's sister. I have just read another of your messages re: Cracknell/Pooley. Emma Cracknell is a witness on the marrage certificate of George Pooley.

If you have any dates or other information please let me know. Thanks for your help.
