Surnames: Baseny / Basenay / Bazinet / Siguaw / Sigouin
Lena (Basenay) Siguaw was in fact Celina (Lina) Bazinet / Basinet.
She was born on the November 9,1843 in St-Jerome province of Québec. She married Elie Sigouin (widower of Narcisse Godin ) in 1863 in Metcalfe, Ontario, area. Marriage record cannot be found.
She died at age of 54 on July 12, 1897 in Metcalfe, Ontario.
Not sure were she was buried, but her name appear wrongly spelled (Basenay) on Elie Sigouin burial stone as one of his two wifes, in the Ste-Thérèse cemetery of Marionville, Ontario, where Elie was buried on December 22, 1904.

Note 1: Celina Bazinet has been recorded sometime under Celina,Celine,Lina,Lena,Melina and even Eleonore.

Note 2: At least one of Elie Sigouin and Celina Bazinet son (David) who has immigrated to North Dakota around 1893 changed his last name Sigouin for Siguaw to facilitate the prononciation of his name by those speaking the language of Shakespear.
