Dear Pedro,

Just 2 years ago I was reunited with Aunt Carment and Abula Maria. Although my father passed, they have welcomed me with open arms. I spent last Thanksgiving with them and they had a BIG welcome party with all the cousins. Titi Juantia was there and I also visited her house at the Curba de Pomales. The river has changed course and practically washed it all away.

Contact me at 201-896-1488, I have details on an upcoming Pomales Reunion.

Hola Sandro.

It would be nice indeed but many of our older relatives are not prepared to travel. Some have their hardships to deal with and others probably would not be able to travel due to health issues. These seniors are the ones who would normally pass down stories of the links we have with one another. I love listening to their stories as these are the books of our lives.

With that said, I would welcome a reunion of relatives in segments of the US. I.E. a meet and greet at a popular destination point where members could also vacation. As it appears, we should be able to get a nice group together.

Where would be the meeting point? How many are interested? Those are the questions we need answered to reunite I would think. I have no experience in putting together a reunion but would welcome being a part of such a challenge.

An important factor to consider is the current economy and perhaps the need for a finacing mechanism for those needing travel and housing assistance. I think a Lawyer (call for legal assistance to a lawyer with the surname Pomales) could form a non-profit Pomales organization with a trust that could be managed by board of directors consisting of our most senior members. This would be a form of a private club with strict bylaws to prevent abuse. Contributions to it would be tax deductable.

A nice vision would be an education trust funded by this organization for our children. Another vision would be a funded library of Pomales history and folklaw. Current laws should be able to allow for such a club. Food for thought I guess. Only after addressing some of these basic issues, can we enjoy a true reunion that will include a majority of all Pomales's.

My love to all my Familia Pomales.

Hi Pedro!

Thanks for replying back, as you can see not to many return to the ancestry site as the last posted message have been a few months behind. I't sounds like a good idea but the only way something like this can be accomplished is by all of us working together and finding out the right resources. To all this is like solving a puzzle all of us are a piece of that puzzle if we can manage to get enough information from each other we should manage to put back some of this pieces together then maybe things should start picking up rapidly, but let it be known that if we start something we should finish it. What I mean by this is that we should all keep in constant contact and should all reply back to each other and keep all valuable information in the open. We all have been spread out to a distint part of the world now it is our job to pick up pieces that our ancestors have left behind and start solving this puzzle let it of a reminder that the more time wasted the more valuable infornation will be lost as you already know our older generation are getting older and if we dont get to start now we would loose this valuable information forever.....

Regards...
Sandro Pomales
