Looking for Victor Poma who lived in Michigan in early 1950's and was in the Service. Went back to California where he was stationed at. He had a sister who worked at the Belle Isle Pub on Detroit's eastside.

He lived in the Los Angeles co, California area?
Yes, it's quite possible that that is where he lived. Do you have inf. on Victor?
Yes, if it is the right Victor. Did he have a sister Susie? Are you related?
I am not sure of his sister's name. He was married to my Mother.

No, her name was Erma Lefurgy, she was from South Porcupine, Ont. and met Victor while he was living in Detroit with his sister. They married and she found out that he was AWOL from the service when the MP picked him up and took him back to California. She never saw him again.
Is he still alive? My mom mentioned that he may have been hurt at some point in his life and was crippled. I don't know where she heard that from. She passed away in February 2004, so I'm not able to ask her about anything.

No he died Sept 1994 in Nevada. Obit: Victor Poma, 63, died Saturday in a local hospital. A retired taxi driver, he was born Sept. 21, 1930, in Detroit and was an eight-year resident of Las Vegas. He is survived by his son, Victor Jr. of Las Vegas; daughters, Anna Lowry and Tina Brockmann, both of Victorville, Calif.; sister, Rose Dixon of Detroit; and brothers, Art of Kingman, Ariz., Sam of Detroit, Nick of Brush Prairie, Wash., and John of El Segundo, Calif. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Boulder City Cemetery. Nevada Funeral Service handled arrangements. He was attacked, robbed and left for dead back in LA as a taxi driver. Took some time to recover. What year was your mother married to him? I do have one poor photo of him, maybe your mother is in it too as there were a lot of people in it.
