Hi Sandra Many thanks. After closer scrutiny, I realise they may have been married in Plymouth, Devon as they both appear in1861 census but not married. Georgiana was born Bourton on the Water, that's why I tried there as I couldn't find anything elsewhere.
Many thanks again.malcolm.

Just found this site. It is funny. I'm Tom Polson. My brother is Bob Polson. Our father was Elmer Carl Polson born in Butte, Montana. His sister was Francis Polson. Dad's father, Papa, was born is Sweden and married Dad's mother who was from Norway, not 10 miles from Paps's house in Sweden. They cam over here around 1910 or so.

I'm in Dayton, OH. Dad married my Mother here.

Tom Polson
tompolson48@gmail.com
513.393.6766

Sadly, no, not that I know of anyway. Dad's people were from Butte and then Mother Scandinavia. I suppose they just loved real winters. Dad became a metallurgist then moved to Cincinnati to work at a nuclear reactor (Fernald) where he became tech director. My Mother was from Dayton of German/Scot/Irish stock. They had a wonderful marriage.

Any of your relations this way?

Elizabeth "Lizzie" Allison Polson b. abt 1850's

I have purchased at an antique store a very very nice 5x7 photo of Elizabeth "Lizzie" Allison Polson. She is of no relation to me. I am trying to find the rightful family. The photo was taken in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois...likely in the 1870-1880. I did a search in the census and seems there is a lady by same name, same era..born in Sweden. This photo is of a woman with lighter hair and fair skin. Certainly could be her. It's a fabulous photo!.
Across the back also in additon to the name is written -Frank Allison's aunt and then under that is Mary Wadek. I don't know if ELizabeth had the middle name of Mary or her name was Mary and went by Elizabeth who had a maiden name of Wadek, or if the person who wrote the information was Mary Wadek.

My grandmother had relatives in Ontario that had a farm and grew green beans.
I have a photo showing a Polson Grocery store early 1900's. My grandmothers name was Anna R. Polson, her brother was Joseph Lawrence Polson. Anna was born March 12, 1898. Thanks! On Joseph's WW1 draft card his mother is listed as Mary Smarty.

Hi Judy,

I am trying to verify the birthdate of Herbert Polson's mother. I have her as Evie or Eva Staton, but somehow have her birthdate as 1873, which seems a little early for her to be Herbert's mother. Samuel Barley Polson was the father of my grandfather William Porter Polson, Winnie Susan Long was his mother. If you can help me out with any more info on Evie or Herbert, my grandfather's half-brother, I would appreciate it.

Thanks, Jan
