I came across your correspondance postings while searching Ancestry.com
Your dialog with each other was a fabulous find for me. There haven't been many people out their on the net searching for a Zilpha Craig Polson. My daughter's 2nd.great-grandparents are Samuel B. Polson and Susan Winnie (Long) Polson.

Samuel B. Polson is son of James Taylor Polson and the grandson of James Madison Polson and a grandnephew to the Levi Polson that was married to Zilpha Craig. {James Madison Polson and Levi were brothers}.

Once I added the info. of yours from the postings that I found to my database, it shows that my daughters are 5th. cousins once removed to Tootsie and 4th. cousins twice removed to Debbie (Polson) Haezebrouck.

I have a copy of a 1902 photo of the Polson, Long, and McWhorter families that was taken in Kentucky. There are 19 people in it. It is really cool.
(The order of people that is written on this photo is hard to determine exactly who is who)- It goes: Mary Jane Caien Long - abt. 58 years old, Lena Polson - she is about 6 years old, Eelzervia, Vorda -(in front of Elzwria) Vorda is about 4 years old, Parthena Piercy (foster daughter, Loni Long (Front row) Samuel Long who is about 60 years old, Laura McWhorter (in front of Alice), Alice Long, Winnie Susan Long Polson - abt. age 24 years (Back row) Frank McWhorter (holding Atties), Esther McWhorter (smaller girl), unknown (little boy_, neighbor (with pipe), Everett leveridge, (little boy), Oscar Leveridge, Samuel B. Polson abt. age 29 years holding his son, William Porter Polson, Jr. - whose age is less than one year old. {note* I have written the names as they were spelled on the photo). {Note * Samuel B. Polson is a grandson of James Madison Polson and a grandnephew to - Levi Polson Manerva Zilpha Craig Polson. Levi Polson and James Madison Polson were brothers.}

I would like to trade Polson history with you. I have a little bit on Levi James' siblings and parents.
