I am looking for information on the Point Family from Canada. My husband's great grandmother, Philomene St. Pierre Point was a widow when she came to the USA wuth 3 children, (Thomas, Francois Xavier, and Joseph)in 1880 and settled in Saranac, NY. She was married to Francois Xavier Point who died in Canada about 1875. I have some information regarding this family in Canada. Thomas was my husban'd grandfather. While in the States, the name Point was changed to Fisk, but we do not know why or when. In the 1910 census in Blackbrook, NY, Thomas is married, living with his family and Mother, all under the name of Fisk.
