Does anyone know what happened to Robert Podbury who was in Marshelsea Prison in 1839.
He was previously a baker in Old Street, St. Lukes, Middlesex and married to Elizabeth. He does not appear in the 1841 or 1851 census although at his son's marriages in 1851 and 1853 he was named as his father which would signal that he was still alive. No death has been found either. Did he die pre1841 or did he emigrate? All help appreciated.
