I have a tree....

Hi. My grandfather is a Poche'. His father's name was Leonce P. Poche. I know that my grandfather grew up in Dutchtown, Louisiana and that they lived for a short while in Galliano, Louisiana.

Anyway, we have a family tree that goes all the way back to the three original Poche' brothers that settled here. It indicates that one settled in the New Orleans area, one in St. James Parish and the other in Tangipahoa parish. If you are interested in seeing if your relatives are on it, let me know. I'll be happy to oblige.

Hopefully you can help! I am looking for information about my great-grandfather and his parents. My great-grandfather's name was Leo Poche. He was born 5/23/1890 and died 1/1968. The only information I have is very limited. He had a brother Frank, sister Victoria, and another sister name Cheda (I think?). He lived and died in Maurepas, LA. My uncle seemed to think that he was born somewhere around Manchac, but wasn't real sure of that. I don't have his father or mother's name. I am a native Texan so I am not familiar with any of the places that you mentioned, so hopefully this question is not too far off base.

I would love to see the information you have.

One of my maternal great grandmothers' name was Emma Poche. The two things I know for certain are - she married Ed Jones and had a son Ezery Jones. Ezery was born in McNary, Louisiana in 1920. They also had about 4 or 5 other children.
