I am looking for the parents of Ned Patrick Poche. He was born September 12, about 1900. He was married to Pearl Mary(?) Selser, and they lived in Louisiana. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Pearl Selser and Ned Poche
Kimberly, Ned and Pearl Selser-Poche are my great grandparents. As a matter of fact Brette is my cousin. I have the information you want and a little more. It may need a bit more research to check for accuracy.
Ned Poche's parents are Frank Poche and Camilla Mabile who married on Jan. 21, 1895. Ned was born on Sept. 12, 1899. Frank Poche also had a brother named Alphonse Poche who married Sarah Cox on Jan. 30, 1899 Frank Poche's parents are Emile Poche and Delia Vivies. Ned Poche's grandparents Aristide Mabile and Josephine Abaras raised him.
Pearl Selser was born on July 1, 1902. Pearl Selser's parents are Kingsley Selser and Mathilda Babin who was married on Oct. 20, 1896. Kingsley Selser's parents are John Selser and Mary E. Kane. Mathilda Babin's parents are Sefrin Babin and Catherine Braud. Kingsley also has a brother named John Elijah Selser who married Mary C. Droz.
Information was found at Iberville Parish Marriage Records, and from my grandmother(Brette's Aunt Shirley).

Hi Tammy, Thanks so much for the information that you sent. It is very helpful. Please tell Aunt Shirely I said hello. I think I remember meeting you before. It was good to hear from you. Kimberly

Tammy,
I have a tree that goes back to the three original Poche brothers that came over from Europe (some say Germany, some say France, some say a town on the border of both). Anyway, if your interested in research let me know.

Jason, I would love to get the information that you have on the three Poche' brothers. Feel free to email me. Thanks, Kimberly

Without looking at the document, I can tell you what my grandfather has told me... it's pretty basic.
There were originally three Poche' brothers, I'll get the namme this weekend, that settled in Louisiana. One settled in the New Orleans area, one in Tangipahoa Parish which is north of New Orleans and one in the St. James/Acension Parish area. Where it goes from here, I'd have to look at the tree, which is at their house.
I do know that one of them married a Babin woman and that my grandfather used to play on Valentine Babin's property in Dutchtown where he grew up.

Thanks for the info. Please send me the document when you get it, so I can try to find out where my line comes in. Thanks, Kimberly
