I am looking for Poce relatives. My Poce ancestors are from the city of Campobasso. My great grandmother was Rosa (Rosina) Poce, who was born about 1852, the daughter of Francesco Paolo Poce, a blacksmith. Rosina married Carmine Antonio Paradiso, a pyrotechnics artist, who put on fireworks displays in and around Campobasso. He died in a fireworks accident in 1885. I don't have the date of Rosina's death but I believe it would be in the 1920's.

Ciao, Jose.

I did not know that the surname Poce was also Spanish. Is it possible that your ancestors were Italians who immigrated to Spain? Does 'Poce' have any meaning in Spanish? In Italian it derives from 'pulce,' i.e. 'flea.' please e-mail me directly at tvllivs@aol.com and we'll continue our conversation.
