Billy Joe Poarch passed away February 4, 1991. He was 63 years old, born September 1, 1927 to Walter Davis Poarch and Lemma. Mr. Poarch was a graduate of New Mexico Military Institute, and All-American in football, served in the Korean War as a Captain in the U.S. Army. He was one of eleven to form the Spring Branch Sports Association and was well known in the construction business.
He is survived by his former wife Thel Poarch, sons Donald L. Poarch, William Kip Poarch, Carey Poarch. Daughters Kim Wilson, Terry Bingham, all of Houston. Brother Walter D. Poarch, Jr. of Dallas. Grandchildren Caroline, Cody, Glenn, Brooke, Krystle, Allison, Lance, Kristina and Cary, Jr.
Family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Waltrip Funeral Home. Funeral services Wednesday February 6, 1991 at noon. Memorial Oaks Mausoleum Chapel, Katy Freeway at Eldridge Road.
