Mary Wardle vs. Mary Wereley, sp. Daniel Poapst

I am researching the early Wereley/Werley/Werely line, and have seen the entry of Mary Werely, b. 13 Dec. 1776 as the spouse of Daniel Poapst. In some instances, including the web-published Poapst Family Tree, she is referred to as "Mary Wardle," which is a common British name. Can anyone shed any light on this? Is there any documentation, such as a Church record or Birth Record or grave stone that can bear out one or the other? Many thanks!

Bill;
I am wondering if you have been satisified as to the birth date of Mary Werley. I have been attempting to confirm the children of Mary and Daniel, particularly as it relates to the 10th child.
I believe that "Loyalist Lineages", indicates Mary's birth as 1766, but as you have noted and we believe the date is probably 1776. Various lists indicate up to 11 children, commencing with John T (or F) b1795 and the youngest child, Jacob F (b1818; d1848), or maybe John Jacob (b1823,d1896). That John Jacob might be a 10th or 11th child of Mary and Daniel, is the point that i am trying to confirm.
Your response or information would be of interest.
