Hello,

John is my 6th great grandfather. My line goes down through his son William (b. 1752) --> George Washington (b. 1781) --> Samuel DB (b. 1822).

Samuel seems to be one who made the move from VA to MO. My line stayed in MO a few generations until my grandparents moved back east.

Thanks for the reply!

The folks in Daviess County are very helpful, and many of the cemeteries have been photographed so do post your query. I've seen some posts on the mailing list about the Poages so hopefully someone may know about your Laura.

Best of luck,

Nancy

My Great Grandmother Sallie Poage Beery is a descendent of John and Robert Poage. I would appreciate any grave site or property photos.

Betty Jean,

I'm jumping into an old conversation so I hope you are still up for answering some questions.

I have that an Elizabeth Poague married a James Wilson in Virginia. Their first child was born 1770 - John Wilson - whose daughter, Elizabeth M. Wilson, married William Doak.

Do you know which Elizabeth Poague this was. I have her birthdate as 1739, but that really doesn't fit into John's or Robert's children.

Thanks,

Joni
