Surnames: Pogue, Poage
Hello all,

I am looking for any information on the following Poage/Pogue's from Georgia and Alabama in the 1800s:

James E. Pogue (1800-?) Born in Georgia and to my knowledge died in Alabama. Married to Mary Polly Elizabeth Clark. Had four children that I know of: Robert, Alfred, Harriet, Nancy. I believe his parents came from Virginia, but I'm not sure.

Alfred/Alford Clark Pogue (1833-after 1900) He was born in Georgia and settled in Coosa County, Alabama. He died in Eclectic, Elmore County, Alabama. He married Mary J. Wall, daughter of James Augustus Wall and Rebecca Mason Jeffries. They had several children, but I don't know all the names, these are the ones I have.
Sons: Thomas, James, Tilden, A.C, Jessie,
Daughters: Sarah Louise, Martha, Mary,

If anyone could provide information I'd appreciate it. I'd also like to know what the correct spelling of the last name is, Pogue or Poage? I've seen it both ways.

Regards,
Laura Williams
