Hello: I recently first saw your message about Hannah Etta Plymale on the Plymale's website; with further searching, I found that you'd posted messages here, also.

Since I have been also researching my RAY side of the family, and my Mother's father was raised in the Terre Haute, IN area , I thought i'd do some further research. My Plymale roots come from my Dad's side. Since I had so much on all of the RAY's in Vigo County, IN, I went back through all of the data i've collected. I found these pieces of info:

1. Marriage Records- Vigo Co., IN
*W. T. Charles - 24 yrs. old , Pike Co, KY
S. C. PLymale - 21 yrs. old, Pike Co, KY
Marr: March 30, 1895
* Camden Plymale - b, 1894, Pike Co, KY
Marie Staley - b.?
Marr: 12 Dec., 1914.....Ohio?
It looks like the Plymale's here may have been traveling through the upper midwest till they reached IN; since Hannah's father is said to have been born in Ohio, I keep looking for connections as possibilities.

2. 1880 Federal Census: Dardeene, St. Charles, Missouri:
Milks, Jerome...29...NY...Farmer...Ny...NY
" , Hannah...22...IN...K. House...OH...IN
" , Esther R....6...MO...dau...NY...IN
" , Ira N. ....4...MO...son....... "......."
" , Henry E. ...3...MO...son...."......."
" , Frank ...6 mo. ...MO...son.."......"

I found that Ira N. Milks is also listed at some genealogy websites as S. Ira Milks, with the same family and etc.

3. while at the PLYMALE website, I also saw a message about Bowen Plymale & Elizabeth Calhoun; they Bowen's family had moved to Ohio and said to have thought to moved on to Terre Haute, IN about 1817; then, later moved on to Ashland, OR. I have not been very successful in finding anything to back up this statement so far...will keep searching.

4. 1880 Fed. Census: Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana:

Plymale, Louis E. ....18....IL...Bartender...F:OH....M:IN

Plymale, Louis E......19...IL....Store Clerk...F:OH...M:IN
I'm not sure if these are 2 different men, but the similarities are almost too alike to not wonder about. Since the birthdate of either man is 1861/1962, I wondered if this might be a brother to Hannah E. Plymale.

I have contacted a MILKS family member who has posted some research; i'm hoping that i'll get back some data that will show more about Hannah's parents and family. If I receive anything, i'll contact you.

Please feel free to contact me directly or here at RootsWeb; I would like to know what data you've accumulated, too.

Hi

Has it really been 3 years since your posting. I haven't been able to find much of anything linking Hannah to the Plymale family, or even directly linking her father Henry to them.
