I don't know if I would be of much help. I can trace my ancestors on the Plyley side to a Henry Plyley who died in 1796. He had the following children: Casper (born 11 Feb 1763 and died 28 Mar 1849), Henry, Magdalene (who married Philip Gunther), and George. Unfortunately, I have info only from the Casper line.
If I can be of some assistance, my email is hoy@msmisp.com

Hi... My name is Linda and I am a Pliley. I trace my ancestors to Henry Plyley of Chambersberg, Pa. I was excited to see your messages. Although, our name spelling is different, we are of the same family. For years, I was under the impression that Plyley or Pliley was of English descent but I have heard from others in our family that we were German, would you happen to know what our name is, or where our family might have migrated from? any help would be appreciated. thanks, Linda
