Looking for information on my great-great-great-great-great grandfather. John Plybon the spelling has changed over the generations I dont know why but it could be spelled plybourn plybourne. His sons were known has James a civil war veteran and John(brushy).John was my ancester. He was born5/20/1813.died 3/4/1855 He married an Elizabeth Beckner and at her death married Irene Beckner.I am looking for his parents they were most likly in va. since this proceeds the civil war and the division of the state. His fathers name was John also and he was married to a lady know only has A.
I have traced the family line forward all the way to myself seven generations all located and buried in the huntington wv area.

This might be of use

hey!!! i am writing you to inform you about the "name change". our last name was Plybon then many years ago, due to spelling errors, it was changed to Plyburn. We currently live in Huntington, WV so it is very likely that you are looking for our relatives also. I hope this information is of great use to you in continuing your geneology search.

It has taken years of searching, but I have found my Great Grandmother, Rosa Wittke (Wietecki), was married to a Giles Plybon of Cabell County, W.Va. and lived in Barboursville. Would you have any information on her or their child, whose name may have been Sylvia or Sallie, the name is barely readable in the 1880 W. Va. Census. Her fathers name was August, and there is reason to believe Rosa may have been one half Chippewa Indian. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
