My husband's Great Great Grandmother was Emma Plumridge (William's older sister). She married George Smith. Their daughter Georgina is who my husband descends from. I noticed that you have been accumulating some pictures from me. Not a problem you are welcome to them. But I also noticed that you have Georgina being married 3 times (FT Domoney, G Turner, Private) Whereas I have only 2 marriages (FT Domoney, and Richard Webber). Do you have documentation on the middle marriage? (Or any of them for that matter) that you are willing to share?

I find two trees that associate George (son of Charles and Jane) with a marriage to a Sarah Rainbow and remaining in England. The George I want married Martha Sarah Leneve Roff, and as you note they emigrated to the US and remained here.

There are two family trees that connect a George Plumridge b. 1825 to the Family of Charles b.1797 and Jane but show that George marrying a Sarah Rainbow, he dies in England.

"My George" marries Martha Sarah Leneve Roff and they emigrate to the US - see marriage 2.

I think there are too many families with the same names!

The connection I believe is that the majority are Children of Charles Plumridge bn 1797 Great Marlow, who married Jane.

Marriage 1 (M1)
William Henry first son christened in Marlow in 1818
Witness George likely to be 3nd son born 1825, who marries in M2, Arthur 4th son christened 1833, but likely born a few years earlier.

Marriage 2 (M2)
George 3rd son bn abt 1825, ?Christened Cookham 1826?Emigrates to the USA circa 1860s
witness Emma unknown relation, Edward 5th son

Marriage 3 (M3)
at the moment I have no connection for Emma, so hard to ascertain this one.
Witness is presumably the father or brother

Marriage 4 (M4)
Edward 5th son, apparently emigrates to Australia 1875, d 1895, but the spouse who apparently travels (Anne) is different.

Marriage 5 (M5)
Charles 2nd son born about 1822 but apparently not Christened in Marlow or Cookham

It is not clear to me that the christenings in Cookham are the same family, because it would then not match up tot he census and there would be an awful lot of Children. However, various children were Christened in Cookham (1824-1836) and Charles' occupation was given as builder. The transcription I have for Marlow didn't capture their occupations, but there are Christened Children there from 1818-1821. In the 1851 census he describes himself as a Farmer of 200ac, and by 1871 as a retired Builder. The census returns are surely the same person, because the wife's palce of birth is the same (Stokenchurch).

Any ideas on Jane's maiden surname?

He married Elizabeth, last name unknown. He had a daughter Susanna born 1701 in Great Marlow ,she died 1773. She married George Oxlade.
My grgr grandfather was John Plumridge b.1870 in Ockham, Surrey. His only daughter was Nellie Victoria b. 1901 in Middlesex. I believe his father was James Plumridge b. 1838. James' father then is John b. 1814. John's father is Thomas b. 1782. Thomas' father is Edward b. 1756. These are not verified. Edward was married to a Martha Sink b. 1752. Thomas was married to a Charlotte Arrow b. 1779. John was married to an Ann Maskell b.1805. James was married to an Emma Beagley b. 1845. And John (1870) was married to an Ellen Elizabeth Deane b. 1878.
Do these names ring a bell with anyone.
