Jan (wife Josefa) Plucinski/Lorenz (wife Helen) Plucinski
Update on Jan (John) and Josefa Plucinski. Jan and Josefa immigrated to Chicago in 1890 probably from the Kalisz, Posen area of Poland. It is known that Jan had a brother Lorenz who immigrated about 10 years later and settled in Milwaukee, WI. Looking for other Plucinskis from the same area in Poland - possibly other siblings or cousins. It is possible their father's name if Ignacz.

Re: Jan (wife Josefa) Plucinski/Lorenz (wife Helen) Plucinski
I have a Helena Pluchinski that I believe came to Canada. Relatives list Posen as a place of birth. She would have lived from Mar 1848 to Feb 1931.
Any connection

I have a TON Of information on this family. If you are still watching this listing, please contact me. They are all over the Chicago census records, including 10 children and some grandchildren. Ignatz was the father's name, I believe, since it was listed on Jan's death certificate. I hope to hear from you, since it will be a giant windfall if you do.

Hope you can supply some new information. Yes, I know there is a lot of information on this line in the Census records, etc. Please let me know more specifically what you have so that I can see if it is something I don't have already.
Thanks for replying.

Re: Jan (wife Josefa) Plucinski/Lorenz (wife Helen) Plucinski
It would be easier if you sent me an email (Ancestry won't let me email you with a free account) so I can send you a Word document with all the information. Otherwise, I can certainly post the info here, but it will be hard to read because it's not formatted. The main thing I have is that Frank's father's name was Ignatz. The family claimed to be from Russia-Poland, which is opposite my family, which was from Germany-Poland. I traced my tree to the Czerniejewo and Marzenin region, northwest of Poznan, back to about 1760.
I just responded to your previous thread without seeing your later reply. I'm glad you're still online. It's easiest to exchange information by bypassing this system. My direct email is sandy10m at yahoo dot com.

Re: Jan (wife Josefa) Plucinski/Lorenz (wife Helen) Plucinski
I am looking for a possible branch of this family that may have changed their name to Plye. I have a Pluchinske in my family line that married a Helen Recksiedler in Canada. Part of the family moved to the Chicago area. There are children named Ernie (British Columbia) and Clara (Chicago area).

Don't think your branch is connected to mine.
