Information on John and Josephine Plucinski, Chicago, IL
I am looking for information on a John and Josephine Plucinski who came to Chicago Illinois probably around 1885 from Poland. They had Nine Children: Agnes Plucinski Samuel, Bessie (Sister Bonavita), Marie Plucinski Rozhon, Stanley Plucinski Palmer, Andrew Plucinski Palmer, John Plucinski Palmer, Frank Plucinski Palmer, Edward Plucinski Palmer and Casimir Plucinski. I know we also have Plucinski relatives in Whitewater, WI - Harry Plucinski. I am working on a family tree and haven't been able to find any information on my grandparents (Father's side). I am the youngest daughter of Frank Plucinski Palmer - mother Louise who is still living.

Re: Information on John and Josephine Plucinski, Chicago, IL
I saw your posting about needing information about John and Josephine Plucinski. There is a great deal of info available on Ancestry in the census records. Your posting is very old, so perhaps you already have this info. In any case, I am willing to share the data that I have on your family. My grandmother's maiden name was Plucinski, so I have a great deal of interest in Chicago Plucinski's. What I do know that you might not know is that Frank's father's name was Ignatz.

Re: Information on John and Josephine Plucinski, Chicago, IL
Thanks for the reply to my posting. I know my posting is old and yes, in fact, I have found a lot of information on my Plucinski line over the past couple of years. I in fact do know that my Great Grand father's name was Ignatz. It showed up on my GrandFather's death certificate. What I don't know is where he came from in Russian Poland, what his mother's name was, and if he had any other siblings other than his brother Wawrzyniec who immigrated to Milwaukee and most of that line still lives in Wisconsin. Most of the John Plucinski male descendants changed their name to Palmer. My father, Frank, was one of the few who used the Palmer name for work but never legally changed it from Plucinski. Therefore, my brother is still a Plucinski, but all our male cousins are Palmers.
