My great great grandmother was Helen Pluche.
She was born in Carleton Island probably
1850's or 60's. She married Henry Wallace
(born in England) One of their children's
name was Edna May Wallace.Edna May Wallace
was born in Connecticut in 1887. She married
William Christopher Brand (born in Scotland
1881) On May 14 , 1908.
There were other Pluche's that came up in my
search: Joseph Pluche born 1838-9
Alfred Pluche born 1844-5
there is also a Duane Pluche
Please Help, anything remotely in common
please respond!

Hi Hal!

We spoke several months ago when I was looking for my half-brother Matt. I found him a couple of months ago with info from you and your ancestry-researching cousin. Thanks so much for the help as it led to finding Matt through his mother Sara.

My great grandmother was also Helen Pluche (b. 1854/1855 NY, the dau. of Louis and Betsy Ingalls Pluche) of Jefferson Co. NY. She (Helen) married H.S. Wallace or Henry Wallace about 1879-81 probably in Jefferson Co NY. They had 2 children before she died at age 35y. The two children were Lou Ethel Wallace (b. Mar/Apr 1882 NY) and Edna Wallace (b. Oct 1886 CT). Lou Ethel is my grandmother.

Seeking information on the Henry (or H.S.) Wallace that Helen married. the post indicates Henry born England, census data associated with Lou Ethel gives Canada (1900), NY (1910), and NY (1920). Does anyone have data on this Henry Wallace. Thank you. Jim

Is there separate Plush and Pluche families or did the name just get changed? My ggrandmother Harriet L. Plush, b. bet. 1845-1849 is probably the same Harriet L. Plush in the 1860 Adams, Jefferson Co., NY census, living with a farm family. In most census records, she states her parents were from England, but in some her father is English, mother from France. There's a John Plush, 12, in the 1860 census living in Richland, Oswego Co. NY with a farm family. Can't find parents for either or if they were related. Lots of Pluche families living in Cape Vincent. I hope these people sound famility to someone.

Thanks,
Gloria
