With regard to the Register of Plowmans in America, Family "C" in the Plowmans of Dorsetshire fits into my own family. One aggrandisement I noted in the Family “C” entry is the claim to be the Lords of the Manor of Toller Porcorum in 1460. One of my forebears was the Vicar there in the 18th century but not the Lord of the Manor. As to the claim of a crest, the search I had conducted by the College of Arms unfortunately did not substantiate either claim. The result of the Colleges search can be viewed at my web site.
