CHILLICOTHE: Marjorie P. Cobb, 79, of Chillicothe, Ohio died 8:20 a.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014 in the Chillicothe Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness.
She was born December 11, 1934 to the late Robert and Mary Brown Pleasant.
On April 26, 1952, she married Samuel Armstrong who died November 9, 1976 and then on February 9, 1980, she married Joseph E. Cobb, Sr. who died July 13, 1996.
Surviving are children, Tammy Armstrong Wahl, of Circleville, Ohio, Samuel "Skip" (Melissa J.) Armstrong, and Stewart K. Armstrong, both of Chillicothe; a stepson, Joseph E. Cobb, Jr., of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Travis M. Hills, of Circleville, Ohio, Laura C. Hills, of Louisville, KY, Amy M. Roberts, of Hilliard, Ohio, Jessi L. Ralston, and Sierra G. and Jacob K. Armstrong, all of Chillicothe, OH; a brothers, Robert L. (Freida E.) Pleasant, of Kalkaska, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters and brothers-in-law, Laura E. and Chester R. Mullins, Karleen and John P. Martin and Grace M. and Raymond P. "Bud" Sheffel.
Marjorie was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She retired from Rubbermaid, in Chillicothe, where she had worked as a Bookkepper.
Marjorie sold Avon for over 25 years and was a member of its President's Club.
She was loved by all and will be sadly missed.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014 in Browns Chapel Cemetery with Rev. David Titler officiating.
Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME, Chillicothe, Ohio from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the graveside service on Thursday.
