You are possibly right about everything. There are a lot of Pleas's in Florida. I know there are many in Tallahassee, Monticello, Jacksonville, Tampa and several other areas in Florida. My mother's father name was William Pleas

Surnames: Pleas
The earliest Pleas I have is Thomas (surname spelled Plaise) who died in Somersetshire Eng in 1709. The ones in the US were in NY state in 1750-1850, in NC in the early 1800s, in IND after 1820. I notice from other messages that you are in FL. A first cousin of my grandmother was Charles Earl Pleas, who operated the Glen Arden nursery in Chipley FL prior to his death in 1954. From other messages I see that there were other Pleases in FL and MS, but I do not know the connection. I do not have anything about Charles's (wife's name was Lillie) descendants. Does any of this fit your family? You can contact me directly at barbeejames10@yahoo.com or 614-322-1010.
