Looking for info on Eva Elisabeth Plack, born March 27, 1832 in Biebighousen, Germany. Her Parents were Balzer or Balthasar Plack and Anna Eva Klein. She married Johann Caspar Specht on October 4, 1855 in Dodenan, Germany. They came to America on May 29, 1873. The 1880 Ohio census index lists her father as Balser Plack, probably in Preble county. Any info would be greatly helpful.

I descend from Balzer Plack, and have lots of info on the family. Your note says Eva was born in Biebighausen -- but actually she was born in nearby Wolzhausen. She married Caspar Specht in Dodenau, not Dodenan. Send me a note at StevePipit@AOL.com and I'll fill you in on the details.

I descend from John and Eva Specht. I have John's death certificate 2-12-05 and have visited the burial area - cannot find Eva's grave. Have alot of the census info on Specht's. Have a cousin who has done alot of work on the Specht side if anyone is interested.

Saw your recent message on the Ancetry Plack board. I am a descendant of Balser Plack through Eva's sister Catherine Plack Henkel.

As you may know, Eva died in childbirth at age 41. She left behind 7 children, of which the oldest was 13. Her husband, Kasper Specht, was a dyer in Dedenau.

Eva died in Springfield OH and is buried in the Greenmount Cemetery there.

I do not have the names, dates, places, and vital stats on Eva's 7 children. Can you fill me in? Also: Is your cousin's name by any chance Phyllis Mills?
